SINGAPORE, 2021, DECEMBER 10 – JSSL Singapore FA Cup Guest-of-Honour and Danish football legend Peter Schmeichel held a Q&A and sharing session with local coaches on Friday, 10 December. Close to 100 coaches and members of the football fraternity attended the session, which was moderated by renowned sports host John Dykes, virtually and in-person at Our Tampines Hub. They heard from former Manchester United captain Schmeichel about a wide range of topics including football today and the importance of coaches to youth athletes. Participants also picked Schmeichel’s brain on how to overcome pre-match nerves and tips to encourage young goalkeepers.
Schmeichel will attend the JSSL Singapore FA Cup, which is ongoing until this Sunday, 12 December at Our Tampines Hub. A total of 144 teams of vaccinated boys and girls aged 12 to 17 will feature in this 4-a-side football tournament, which is taking place for the first time.
