SINGAPORE, 2020, MARCH 08 – The ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) and Singapore Slingers have decided to err on the side of caution and postpone the game against Macau Black Bears on 15th March.
New world import signing Jameel McKay is currently being quarantined and is under observation with the rest of the Singapore Slingers players, staff, and personnel.
The same applies to the Kuala Lumpur Dragons and league personnel who may have had contact with McKay, they are now being monitored for the next 48 hours for any signs of illness. This process and precautionary measure has been advised and endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO), the United States Center for Disease Control (US-CDC), and Singapore Ministry of Health.
The 27-year-old was identified on the “contact list” of Singapore’s Case 113, as he was on the same Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Singapore with a 42-year-old French national who tested positive for COVID-19.
As updated by the Slingers, McKay does not have any COVID-19 symptoms and is feeling well. They are confident that he will remain healthy & complete the quarantine period by 17th March without any complications.
