The agreement will be hugely beneficial for football fans in Malaysia, as LaLiga will be closer than ever to the Malaysian football fans thanks to the FMLLP´s expertise in the country.
JOHOR BAHRU, 2018, JANUARY 19 – In a landmark cooperation agreement in Malaysia, Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) will receive advice from LaLiga in order to draw up an expansion plan for the next 50 years within the framework of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by the institutions. LaLiga will support the long-term development of the FMLLP by sharing its experience in the fields of finance, technology and good governance. Furthermore, LaLiga will advise the FMLLP on the development of social and community-based projects as part of its corporate social responsibility activities.
Through this partnership LaLiga will gain valuable insight into the Malaysian football market, FMLLP´s expertise will help give LaLiga a greater knowledge to further cement their relationship with fans across the country.
The agreement, which was signed by Oscar Mayo Pardo, Director of International Development, will establish a programme of financial control to clean up clubs’ finances, with the aim of guaranteeing economic transparency within Malaysian football. As part of this MoU, LaLiga will also advise the FMLLP on the implementation of tools that LaLiga has developed in order to optimise tasks linked to the competition, such as LaLiga Manager, Referee Selector and Kit Selector.
