2023, SEPTEMBER 04 – Veteran defender Sergio Ramos has made a highly anticipated return to his boyhood club, Sevilla FC, marking his comeback to LaLiga after a distinguished career at Real Madrid CF and a brief stint with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The 37-year-old footballer, who boasts an impressive collection of 22 trophies from his time at Real Madrid and three more with PSG, has signed a one-year contract with Sevilla, marking an emotional homecoming.
Ramos, who had been a free agent since his departure from PSG in the summer, had previously considered lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia and Turkey. However, he ultimately chose to join Sevilla, a club now competing in the UEFA Champions League group stages this season.

Having risen through the ranks of Sevilla’s youth system, Ramos made his senior debut in February 2004 before making a move to Real Madrid in 2005. During his time with Los Blancos, he clinched five LaLiga titles and four UEFA Champions League trophies. Ramos also added two Ligue 1 titles and a Trophee des Champions to his list of honours during his brief tenure with PSG.
