SINGAPORE, 2024, JULY 09 – Get ready to witness history at the FIBA Intercontinental Cup 2024, the most global edition yet, set to take place at the Singapore Sports Hub from 12 to 15 September. This year’s tournament will feature teams from six continents, promising intense competition for the Champions title.
Venue and Teams
Held at the iconic Singapore Indoor Stadium, the FIBA Intercontinental Cup 2024 will include:
- Tasmania JackJumpers (Australia): First team from Oceania in the tournament.
- Al Riyadi (Lebanon): Winners of the inaugural Basketball Champions League Asia.
- Unicaja (Spain): Basketball Champions League winners.
- Petro de Luanda (Angola): Basketball Africa League champions.
- Quimsa (Argentina): Basketball Champions League Americas champions.
- NBA G League United (USA): Representing the NBA G League.
Ticket Information
Kallang Alive Sport Management, the event’s organisers, announced free entry for all matches on the first day. For the remaining days, tickets start at $5 for youths (18 and below) and $15 for adults. A 3-Day Pass costs $140. Early-bird discounts of 20% are available from 10:00 am on 9 July to 11:59pm on 22 July, with general sales starting at 10:00 am on 23 July. Courtside tickets are available for $1,488, which include All-Star Lounge access and an invitation to the FIBA Hall of Fame Class of 2024 enshrinement ceremony. Tickets can be purchased here.
FIBA Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony
For the first time in Singapore, the FIBA Hall of Fame Class of 2024 enshrinement ceremony will take place on 14 September. This year’s inductees include:

- Miao Lijie (China)
- Danira Nakic-Bilic (Croatia)
- Kirk Samuel Penney (New Zealand)
- Romain Sato (Central African Republic)

Stephon Marbury Named Ambassador
Former NBA star Stephon Marbury, now based in China, has been named the ambassador for the FIBA Intercontinental Cup 2024. Marbury expressed his excitement about the role, emphasising the global nature of the tournament and its significance in uniting people through basketball. He looks forward to engaging with young basketball players in Singapore and hopes to inspire the next generation.
Tournament Format
The 34th FIBA Intercontinental Cup will feature two groups:
- Group A: Unicaja (Spain), Petro de Luanda (Angola), Al Riyadi (Lebanon).
- Group B: Quimsa (Argentina), NBA G League United (USA), Tasmania JackJumpers (Australia).
Each group will compete in a single round-robin format. The group winners will face off in the Final on September 15 to determine the champion, while the runners-up will compete for third place. The teams finishing third in their groups will play for fifth place overall.
