MEDIACORP, SINGTEL AND STARHUB JOIN FORCES TO BRING THE FIFA WOMEN’S WORLD CUP AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND 2023™ TO SINGAPORE 

SINGAPORE, 2023, JULY 14 – From 20 July to 20 August 2023, Mediacorp, Singtel and StarHub, are set to provide full coverage of all 64 FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ matches to football fans in Singapore. The collaboration will enable football fans to stream the games ‘live’ or on-demand on any device, ensuring they can enjoy the matches at their own convenience.

All new and existing mewatch, Singtel TV and StarHub TV customers will be able to catch the electrifying games at no extra cost.

The upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ will be a tournament of many firsts. For the first time in its history, the event will be jointly hosted by two countries, as well as feature an expanded format with 32 teams, up from 24 teams previously. Among these teams are defending champions from the 2019 competition, the United States, as well as Asian representatives including South Korea, Japan, Philippines, and Vietnam. Spanning 32 days across 10 stadiums, the tournament will kick off on 20 July 2023, 3pm, at Eden Park in Auckland, with co-host New Zealand competing against Norway.

From 14 July 2023, viewers can access pre-event content featuring valuable insights, team profiles, and player interviews, building anticipation for the tournament. Replays of matches and daily match highlights will also be provided, ensuring no exciting moments are missed.

All matches will be made available on StarHub’s TV+ and IPTV platforms (Channels 251 and 252), Singtel TV, Singtel TV GO (Channels 141 and 142) and CAST, and Mediacorp’s digital video streaming service mewatch. Audiences in Singapore will also be able to catch the opening match ‘live’, in addition to a delayed telecast of the final match, on free-to-air television on Mediacorp’s Channel 5.
