JOHOR BAHRU, 2023, JANUARY 04 – Brazilian striker Diogo Luís Santo returns to Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) on a free transfer following the ‘mutual termination’ of his contract with Thai League 1 side BG Pathum United FC reported back in November 2022.
The announcement was made via a short video uploaded on Johor Southern Tigers official Facebook today.
In the 51-second video, the 35-year-old player was seen driven in a limousine, enters Sultan Ibrahim Stadium at Iskandar Puteri and unveiled on the pitch wearing a coat with the JDT emblem. He was also featured sitting in the changing room under jersey number 11 with the name Diogo.
Diogo played for the nine-time Super League champions in the 2019 and 2020 seasons, having scored 16 goals in 32 appearances, winning two Super League titles, two Charity Cups and a Malaysia Cup during his stay.
