TAMPINES ROVERS MIDFIELDER KYOGA NAKAMURA BECOMES SINGAPORE CITIZEN

2024, OCTOBER 25 – BG Tampines Rovers FC midfielder Kyoga Nakamura has fulfilled his dream of becoming a Singapore citizen, announcing the milestone on social media and thanking the community, his club, and the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) for their support.

Originally from Japan, Nakamura began his career at JEF United Chiba and joined Albirex Niigata FC (Singapore) in 2019 before moving to Tampines Rovers, where he has since made a significant impact in the Singapore Premier League.

With his new citizenship, Nakamura aims to help elevate Singapore’s national team and will be eligible for the upcoming AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup. The FAS welcomed him as a new citizen, highlighting his commitment and positive influence on Singaporean football.
