Nike and JDT extends partnership to 2023
JOHOR BAHRU, 2020, FEBRUARY 01 – Nike and Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) today unveiled the new Home and Away kit for the upcoming 2020 season. Well known as the Southern Tigers by their loyal fans, Red and Blue Home kit represents the official colours of team and is inspired by the Johor flag. The white Away kit takes inspiration from the new home of JDT, the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Iskandar Puteri, while the Gold lining symbolises the success of the club on and off the field.
JDT’s new club kits feature Nike’s proprietary Dri-Fit technology that helps increase sweat evaporation to ensure players stay dry, comfortable and most importantly fast throughout the game. To ensure that every player can play at their full potential, the new design boasts of Performance Fit for a better streamlined fit to increase agility and speed. To allow the natural range of motion for the players during the game, the new kit design eliminates the shoulder seam.
Continuing its strong relationship on the pitch and helping the team achieve its first ever AFC Cup in 2015, Nike and JDT today also announced that it has extended its partnership till 2023. The agreement extends across all four teams and academy squad under the State’s banner: JDT I – Malaysia Super League, JDT II – Malaysia Premier League, JDT III – President Cup and JDT IV – Belia Youth league, and academy squad (U17, U15, U12).
The latest JDT club kit will be exclusively available in all Johor districts stores from 01 February 2020. The kits will subsequently be available in select retail across Malaysia from 02 February at RM185.
