BALESTIER KHALSA & SINGAPORE KHALSA ASSOCIATION MOU SIGNING ON YOUTH DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES

2024, OCTOBER 22 – On Sunday, 20 October 2024, Balestier Khalsa Football Club (BKFC) and Singapore Khalsa Association (SKA) agreed to build cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on youth development initiatives, capability development & community engagement efforts.

The MoU signing ceremony took place at Bishan Stadium before BKFC home game against Geylang International FC. The MoU was signed by Mr. Darwin Jalil, Vice Chairman of BKFC and Mr. Hernaikh Singh, President of SKA.

“Balestier Khalsa is excited to partner Singapore Khalsa on this journey and reconnecting to our roots through the community that our club represents. We emphasise huge focus on youth development and now we have an opportunity to develop young potential Sikh players through this collaboration. We are looking forward to get this started in the months to come and have Sikh players representing the club soon.” – Mr. Darwin Jalil.

“It is momentous for Singapore Khalsa to work with a professional football club like BKFC and providing a pathway for our young players to higher levels of football. Importantly engaging the community at large through football.” – Mr. Hernaikh Singh.

Both clubs will be running football clinics for the grassroots community at SKA in the coming months. BKFC will offer trial slots for SKA’s youth players at the upcoming preseason selection for Singapore Youth League 2025 squads.
