MO SALAH BREAKS RECORDS IN LIVERPOOL’S PREMIER LEAGUE WIN AGAINST MANCHESTER UNITED

2023, MARCH 07 – On Sunday, Liverpool FC played Manchester United FC in a highly anticipated Premier League match. Liverpool came out on top, winning 7-0 in a dominant performance that saw Mohamed Salah break several records.

Salah, the Egyptian forward who has been a key player for Liverpool since he joined the team in 2017, had a remarkable game. He scored two goals, bringing his total number of Premier League goals for Liverpool to 129. This makes him the club’s all-time leading scorer in the competition, surpassing legends such as Robbie Fowler (128), Steven Gerrard (120), Michael Owen (118), and Sadio Mané (90).

In addition to breaking Liverpool’s record for Premier League goals, Salah also became the club’s leading scorer against Manchester United in the Premier League era. His first goal in the match was his ninth against United for Liverpool, which is the most a Reds player has scored against the Manchester club since the Premier League was founded in 1992. The previous record holder was Steven Gerrard with eight goals.

It is also been rumoured that Liverpool FC will be returning to Singapore for their pre-season tour in July ahead of the 2023/24 season. The Reds visited Singapore in 2022 for the Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy Tour, where they played a friendly match against Crystal Palace FC and held an open training session at the National Stadium.

While details are still to be ironed out, the possibility of Liverpool returning to Singapore would be highly anticipated by local fans who have a strong affinity for the club. Singapore has a significant Liverpool fan base, and the club’s previous visit was a resounding success, with thousands of fans in attendance.
