SELANGOR, 2024, MAY 07 – Selangor FC has formally written to both the Football Association of Malaysia and the Malaysian Football League, seeking the postponement of the 2024 Charity Cup encounter against Johor Darul Ta’zim FC at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, slated for this Friday.
The club’s statement reads as follows:
“In light of recent incidents and issues that have occurred, Selangor FC has sent an official letter to the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and the Malaysian Football League (MFL) requesting for the postponement of the 2024 Charity Shield match scheduled to take place this Friday, 10th May 2024.
We hope that due consideration will be given in light of the unforeseen and unprecedented circumstances surrounding the club at the moment.”
